Extreme Couponing Time Saving Tips
Extreme Couponing Organization
With most things, keeping your coupons tidy and organized you’ll find that you save time not searching for the coupon that you know you have somewhere. There are many different ways to organize your coupons, some prefer the binder method with baseball card inserts, while others are okay with an old shoebox or plastic container and category dividers.
Either way, find a method that works for you and make it your own. Read my post on How to Organize Coupons 4 easy ways. You can organize it by the store layout, like products together or alphabetically, however your brain works and whatever ways makes it easier for you to find them. Make sure you read my post on How to Organize Your Coupons in half the time. This is my all time favorite method to organize your coupons.
Do your deal research before you head into the store. Don’t worry – Coupon Closet does all the work for you. By the time you get into the store, you will be bombarded by all of the shelves of products and other shoppers that it is hard to concentrate on finding the deal. We have the coupon matchups and extra deals posted daily. There are also apps, like Favado, that have all of the deals laid out (with coupons sources!) for you. This is such a time saver! Make sure you also ready my post on Easy Couponing Hacks for People Who Don’t Coupon.
Know the Store Policies
Nothing is more frustrating than getting up to the checkout and your coupon being turned down. Not only does this waste additional time, but you end up frustrated with the entire process and so does everyone around you. Know which stores accept printable coupons, and which ones don’t. Or which stores double coupons and those that price match. Also, it is always a great idea to have the store coupon policy printed out and kept handy in your coupon binder or organizer. Cashiers are sometimes not trained on the latest coupon policy, so having it handy can help you defend your case. Understanding your store policy will save you a lot of head aches and a lot of time.
Have Coupons Ready before Extreme Couponing
After you’ve researched all of the deals beforehand, get your coupons ready for your trip even before you head into the store. A small envelope is great for this (you could even use an old junk mail envelope!) and will hold them safely until you checkout. If you find another deal in the store that you have a coupon for, simply add the coupon to your envelope. When you’re ready to checkout, you can pull all of your coupons out, without flipping through all of them, and hand them to your cashier. Trust me, even they will thank you for how organized you are.
Extreme couponing doesn’t have to take up your entire life with these easy Extreme Couponing Time saving tips. Trust me… after these easy tips you will be able to save money and save time all at the same time. That is the way I like to coupon. 😉
