How to Save on Diapers easily.
Being a parent is expensive, and one of the biggest hits to your pocketbook is diapers, so let’s talk about secrets on how to save on diapers . On average, a baby goes through 2700 diapers in their first year of life – that gets pricy! Diapers are a necessity for at least a couple of years, if not longer, and most moms and dads opt for the convenience of disposable rather than cloth. The trick to not going broke in diapers is planning ahead as much as possible by doing your research.
Use the easy dips to get cheap diapers without buying lesser quality diapers.
1. Know when the price is right.
Diaper packages come in a wide variety of sizes, so knowing what price is good for each diaper unit is important. My buy price is $0.16 per diaper, meaning a package of 50 diapers for $8 is a good deal.

2. Track the sales.
Every few weeks, you’ll find a sale on diapers at one of the major national retailers like Target, CVS, Walgreens, Walmart, etc. Keep an eye on the sales so you know the best time to shop and stock up (speaking of…). I have all the best deals on diapers posted every week right here to help you keep track of the best deals.
3. Stock up when you find cheap diapers!
When you find a good price on diapers, don’t be shy. If your budget will allow it, purchase a couple packages or boxes each time you come across a sale. Diapers never expire, so there is no harm in buying extra. Plus, at some stores, you’ll get an extra reward for buying more than one; Target often has deals where if you buy 2 boxes of diapers, you get a gift card for a future purchase.
Always keep your receipts. That way if you over buy on a size, you can easily take them back and get the bigger size you need.
4. Sign up for rewards programs.
With Target’s REDcard, you get 5% off all purchases, and if you also use Cartwheel, you often can save even more on diapers. CVS has ExtraCare Rewards, and the more you shop there, the more ExtraBucks coupons you’ll get. Walgreens Balance Rewards saves you money, and you accumulate points that you can cash in for future purchases. Meijer’s mPerks is another great program that will save you money.
5. Buy diapers online to save the most
Amazon’s diaper deals are often the best you’ll find. We find you the Best Diaper Deals on Amazon each week so you don’t have to search. Unlike many online retailers, Amazon also offers coupons! If you join both Amazon Prime (30 day free trial!) and Subscribe&Save and set up monthly deliveries, you save even more. Plus you save on gas, hassle, and splurge purchases that tend to happen when you shop in a store.
6. Use cash-back apps.
Ibotta and Checkout 51 are both great cash-back apps that frequently have rebates on diapers. Download both, and you may even get a rebate twice on the same package of diapers.
7. Don’t forget about printable diaper coupons.
You don’t have to be fanatical about couponing to find and use diaper coupons. They are relatively easy to find on some of the top online resources for coupons, and if you get a Sunday paper, it’s pretty common to find at least one diaper coupon each week. Always check out Baby deals page for the best diaper coupons.
8. Don’t be brand loyal.
If your baby doesn’t have sensitive skin, you might want to consider throwing brand loyalty out the window for diapers. You’ll save the most if you buy whatever is on the best sale with the best coupons at that particular time.
Yes, it is true. You really get free diapers on Amazon. It is a lot easier than you think. Check out my post on How to get diapers for free.
A lot of people think they can’t save money on diapers because as parents of young kids, they don’t have time to scope out the best deals and clip coupons. Don’t let that scare you! Diapers are the one baby product where you have to try hard NOT to find coupons and sales. If you put in just a little bit of effort, you’ll save big in the long run!
