Instructions

  • Before you make the bow, you will need to make a standard scrunchie. You can get the instructions and learn how to make a scrunchie here.
  • Once you have your scrunchie completed, it is time to make the bow!

How to make a bow scrunchie:

  • Cut out the pattern with scissors. Place the pattern onto the fabric, making sure there's a fold in the center of the fabric, and pin the pattern to the fabric.
  • Cut out 2 bow shapes.
  • Place the bow shapes, right side facing each other and pin to hold together. We like to use straight pens but you can also use a safety pin if you don't have any.
  • Stitch around the bow, leaving about a 2" opening in the center of one side. Turn the bow right side out, using the tip of scissors to straighten the fabric.
  • Fold the unfinished edge under and sew shut with a machine stitch. You could also hand sew this if desired.
  • Tie the bow around the center seam of the scrunchie with one knot.
