- 2 tablespoons jojoba oil
- 2 tablespoons arrowroot powder find in the spice aisle at the grocery store
- 2 tablespoons beeswax
- 1/4 cup shea butter
- 1 teaspoon coconut oil
- 10 drops of your favorite essential oil optional
How to make Hair Pomade:
First, mix together jojoba oil and arrowroot in a small bowl and set aside.
Melt shea butter and melt beeswax in a microwave safe container for 1 minute, 45 seconds, stirring every 30 seconds until melted. Next, stir in coconut oil mixture until melted.
(This is what I use for a makeshift double boiler.)
Next, add arrowroot and stir well. Let set until cool, and it will look like it hardened. But it has not, just stir the mixture to create the paste.
(Some people use a hand mixer to get a really smooth texture but I just mix by hand)
Finally, place into a jar or small pot with a lid to hold the pomade.
