Supplies

- fleece material (size info below)
- 2 king size pillows (17″ x 36″)
- sewing machine
- thread
- pins
- measuring tape
- marking pen
- scissors
Step By Step Instructions

Step 1. First, measure your pillows. The measurement is typically on the bag of the pillow, so it’s easiest to just read that!

Step 2. One pillow measures 17″ x 36″, so two pillows will measure 34″ x 36″. You will need a piece of fleece 36″ wide x 78″. This measurement was determined by adding the length of 34″ for the front and 34″ for the back and adding 5″ to each end. (34″ + 34″ + 5″ + 5″). Trim the rough edges of the fleece with scissors and discard.

Step 3. Measure your fabric and mark it with a marking pen. Cut the fabric to size.

Step 4. Fold over the two short, 36″ ends about 1/2″ and pin. Stitch a straight stitch across each end. Trim excess thread.

Step 5. Lay your top piece of fabric on a large surface and fold it, right side facing in, into a 34″ x 36″ rectangle. Your stitched ends will be in the center, and they will overlap about 5″ each.

Step 6. Pin each open side together and stitch with a 1/2″ seam allowance. Trim excess thread.

Step 7. Turn the cover right side out!

Step 8. Stuff with pillows and it’s ready for your canine to use.
