DIY Unicorn Pencil Holder is an easy craft using dollar store supplies. Make this DIY Unicorn Craft for a practical and fun way for kids to organize their pencils.

My girls love unicorns so I thought why not make a DIY Unicorn Pencil holder. This is adorable sitting on a desk or in a craft corner.
I think it would also be cute to make these ahead of time to use for party favors at a unicorn themed birthday party. It’s so fun and another cool idea to try if you love unicorn crafts.
Another fun craft we love is Easy DIY Kaleidoscope for Kids.

It is so cute, and all of the supplies can be purchased at the dollar store. This project is very inexpensive. You are going to love how easy this unicorn pencil holder craft is with simple supplies.
Add a little magic with this whimsical unicorn craft that’s so much fun.
Supplies
- Empty Can – Label removed and washed – I used an empty soup can.
- White Construction Paper
- Glitter Foam Paper or Paper
- Fake Flowers – I used pink but use your favorite colors
- Black Sharpie or Marker
Step By Step Instructions
Step 1. Cut the piece of white paper to fit perfect around the outside of the can. Secure the paper to the can with a hot glue gun.
Step 2. Next, cut out a triangle from the glitter sparkle foam paper to create your unicorn horn. The base is 2 inches, and the sides are both 4 inches. Then cut the flowers off the stems.
Step 3. Glue the unicorn horn onto the front of the tin can. I glued mine approximately 2 inches from the top of the can.
Step 4. Glue the flowers at the base of the unicorn horn.
Step 5. Then with the sharpie draw your favorite unicorn eyes. We love using simple ones with delicate eye lashes! Just do what you prefer!
Step 6. That’s it, this is great to store your favorite pens, pencils or markers!
Pro Tips
- Glue. You can use glue dots instead of hot glue if desired.
- Get creative. Feel free to try different colors and designs.
- Wash and dry container. Make sure to thoroughly wash and dry the tin can.
