How to make Turtle Egg Carton Craft:
Cut out the egg cups for how many you would like to make. I used scissors to remove each cup and it was pretty simple. Then trim up the bottoms of the cups so that they can stand evenly on their own.
Next, paint the egg cups with the color of your choice. We chose bright green for our turtles but any color would be fun for these crafts!
My daughter wants to make a purple one next! Let the kids get creative with it! Allow the paint to dry completely. This will be your turtle’s shell.
Once the turtle shell is dried, let the kids decorate the shell how they would like. I used spots to give my turtle a realistic look but the kids can put any designs that they like on their turtle’s shell.
Next glue the poms poms on the egg cup to represent the legs and head of the turtles. We used hot glue but craft glue would work well for this step too.
Then glue the googly eye on each side of the pom pom that is your turtles head.
Egg carton crafts are so fun!
That’s it! Now the kids can admire their turtles that they created! This is the perfect craft for a rainy day activity or when it is too hot outside.
