Life doesn’t always go as planned and we can find ourselves discouraged and lacking hope. Thankfully, we have uplifting Bible verses to read and meditate upon during these seasons of discouragement.
Uplifting Bible Verses
We all have faced seasons of discouragement or despair. If you haven’t yet, you will!
No one promised life would easy but the Lord did promise he would be there! In difficult times, I have found it helps to keep my mind on encouraging and uplifting Bible verses.
One of my favorites is John 16:33 which always provides a sense of encouragement just when I need it.
I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world.”
This is a constant reminder that while life is hard, God’s love is greater than any trial I might be facing or will face in the future.
In times of difficulty, I like to tuck uplifting bible scriptures into my Bible or Devotional on sticky notes.
Sometimes, I will put them on the bathroom mirror or even on the dashboard of my car to remind me of God’s promises.
It’s amazing what meditating on these verses can do for one’s day. If you don’t already have a daily devotional, I like God is With You Every Day by Max Lucado.
Another favorite devotional is Streams in the Dessert. It makes me think about another verse that I hold dear to my heart- Isaiah 43:19.
Behold, I am doing a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert.
Friends, we all need hope and encouragement and sometimes it comes in the most unlikely of forms and other times it’s been in front of us the entire time.
There are so many encouraging devotions for women that I’m sure you can find one that you love. I know life is so busy but often how we start out day sets the tone for the entire day going forward.
Even if you just have 5 minutes, take a moment to read one of these devotions or reflect on a few of these uplifting Bible verses.
Will you join me in setting our eyes on higher things and focusing on these uplifting Bible verses?
Also, one song that has really resonated with me this year is Confidence by Sanctus Real. Some days listening to encouraging music and meditating on uplifting Bible verses has been the only way I could make it through the day.
If you are in this season, please check out some of these verses.
Memorize these uplifting verses to encourage and give hope in times of discouragement.
What we set our minds on and what we focus on, greatly shapes our outlook on life.
Let’s all try to focus on some of these biblical truths offering love and encouragement in these uplifting Bible scriptures.
These simple Bible verses will uplift and inspire. You might also want to write one of these verses in a card and send to someone that you feel could use these.
We all can use these for support and reinforcement. Sometimes we just do not know what someone may be going through in their life.
A quick note can really change someone’s day and we all need to be reminded the “Lord is my strength.”
Another great one to remember is Isaiah 41:10-
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
I have so many favorite verses but another really encouraging one is Psalm 46:3-5:
though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging. There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells. God is within her, she will not fall; God will help her at break of day.
I know I have so many favorites but this passage is just wonderful!
