It is really so easy, and the key ingredient is this Glow in the Dark Glue.  You only need 3 ingredients to make this homemade slime, and it does not include borax. It is not complicated at all.

Glow in the Dark Slime Ingredients

Supplies for slime - glow in the dark glue, baking soda, saline solution.

Step By Step Instructions

Step 1. First, put the glow in the dark glue in a large bowl. Next, stir in the baking soda until well combined.

Glue mixture combined together with contact solution.

Step 2. Now, it is time for the contact lens solution.  Slowly add in the saline solution to the glue mixture to activate the slime.

Step 3. Once the glue begins to pull away from the bowl and stick to the spoon, remove from the bowl and mix with your hands. 

Slime kneaded until the correct consistency.

Step 4. Knead with your hands until the slime forms and is a nice consistency. Take into a dark room and watch it glow.

Pro Tips

  • If the slime is too sticky, add more saline solution (I would add in ½ tsp intervals) until the slime is the consistency that you prefer.
  • We found that the yellow glow in the dark slime worked the best, but everyone enjoyed all the colors.
  • You can also add a few tablespoons of glow in the dark paint for another option. This also looks cool under a black light whereas just using food coloring would not glow for a dark slime recipe. Glow powder is another option.

Storage

I like to store the glow-in the dark slime in a mason jar or ziploc bag or zipper bag to keep it fresh. You can use what you prefer.

It should last about 1 week or possibly longer if stored in an airtight container.

  • 1 Tablespoon Saline Solution Make sure to use one with boric acid in it. This is very important.
