Now it is time to learn how to make galaxy slime!
This is one of the kiddos favorites and I have to say that I had fun too! Don’t let slime scare you away. It is easy and really not that messy.
If you have been making a lot of slime, you might even already have the ingredients on hand!
What are the ingredients for Galaxy slime?
Note- This is enough to make one color. So, if you plan to make all 4 colors, you will need to grab 4 of each of the ingredient amounts. I highly recommend doing all 4 colors so you can blend it together to get that cool Galaxy look.
- 4 bottles of Elmer’s glitter glue (black purple, blue and pink) – 6 oz each. We used black, blue, purple and pink.
- 1 tablespoon or more (up to 1 cup) water which will make your slime stretchier. This is optional.
- 2 tablespoons Baking Soda
- 6 tablespoon of contact lens solution (must contain boric acid and sodium borate. This is important!!!)
- Silver glitter – optional
What colors do you need to make Galaxy slime?
We used black, blue, purple and pink. I think it turned out great and looks so cool!
How do you make a galaxy slime?
In a small bowl combine pour the entire bottle of purple glitter glue.
Add the ½ teaspoon of baking soda and mix in thoroughly.
Add 2 tablespoons or more of water here (up to ¼ cup) if you want a stretchier slime.
Slowly stir in the contact solution – about 1 ½ tablespoons – we add in about a tablespoon at a time.
Now mix until your slime forms and begins to harden. Take it out and knead, knead, knead. You may be surprised how much you need to knead to really make the slime form.
Do this for all four colors.
Now you know how to make galaxy slime!
Twist the 4 colors together now to form your galaxy! This is the fun part and the kids love to twist and turn the slime to make galaxy slime.
How to store elmer’s galaxy slime recipe?
