Galaxy Slime Ingredients
This is enough to make one color. So, if you plan to make all 4 slime colored glue, you will need to grab 4 of each of the ingredient amounts. I highly recommend doing all 4 colors so you can blend it together to get that cool space slime look.
- Elmer’s Glitter Glue – We used black Glitter Glue, blue, teal, purple and pink. If using white glue or clear glue, then you can add in food coloring to change the color.
- Water – Helps to make your slime stretch. This is optional.
- Contact Lens Saline Solution – Must contain boric acid and sodium borate. This is important
- Silver Glitter – This is an optional addition

How Do You Make a Galaxy Slime?
- Step 1 – In a small mixing bowl combine pour the entire bottle of purple glitter glue or purple food coloring to make the purple slime.
- Step 2 – Add the ½ tsp of baking soda and mix in thoroughly. Make sure to use measuring spoons to get accurate measurement.
- Step 3 – Add 2 tablespoons or more of water here (up to ¼ cup of water) if you want a stretchier slime.
- Step 4 – Slowly stir in the contact solution – about 1 ½ tablespoons – we add in about a tablespoon at a time for the right consistency and texture. This is the slime activator.
- Step 5 – Now mix until your slime forms and begins to harden. Take it out and knead the glue mixture. You may be surprised how much you need to knead to really make the slime form. Repeat these steps for all four colors until a ball forms.
- Step 6 – Twist the 4 colors together now to form your galaxy! This is the fun part and the kids love to twist and turn the slime to make homemade galaxy slime. We have even added in sequins for even more sparkle. Make sure to wash hands after combining the magical liquid together.
